Astounding New Alums
Our brand-new alumni hail from 43 states and 59 countries. They range from 18 years old to 69 years old. And 1,268 of them are the first in their family to earn a college degree.
By every metric, this year鈥檚 graduating class excelled and exceeded expectations. We can鈥檛 wait to see what鈥檚 next.

Today is Chancellor Kevin Howell鈥檚 first day. 馃憦馃惡 Howell is NC State鈥檚 15th chancellor and the third NC State alumnus to serve in the role.
鈥淲hen I think about what I love most about NC State, it鈥檚 you 鈥� the people. The students, faculty and staff that keep this place and our mission moving forward day after day here in Raleigh, across the state and beyond,鈥� Howell said in his first message as chancellor.
He comes to NC State from UNC Health. Prior to that role, he served as NC State鈥檚 vice chancellor for external affairs, partnerships and economic development. Welcome home, Chancellor Howell!
